Most of us impair our ability to be happy on a daily basis because we do not remember who we really are; nimble, responsive beings who are powerful co-creators.
Why do we forget? Because we have unconsciously constructed an identity of ourselves from a small ego-centered place. This place can be likened to the mind of a fearful child that automatically over-reacts to everyday occurrences that challenge his/her sense of emotional security. The arsenal this child’s mind draws from is constructed of outdated memories based on perceived slights, hurts, failures and inadequacies.
The secret to stopping this self-sabotage is to recognize and acknowledge that we can access an alternative sense of identity based on our authentic self. This true-self is not only accessible and infinitely more qualified to assist us with running our lives; it’s just waiting for the opportunity to do so.
If you haven't already, set aside some time today and make a deliberate choice to acquaint yourself with the Real You–your bigger self.
Make a conscious decision to partner with this new aspect of self. In doing so, you will discover that you can run your life from a seat of power; in doing so, you will become authentic, responsive, and empowered.
This is the place from which you will manifest the life you were meant to live!
